Betting markets and odds

Beyond the racing, the book spreads across more than 20 sports — football, tennis, cricket, darts, snooker, golf and the rest — with in-play markets on the fixtures you would expect. The daily price boosts are a genuine draw: Betfred surfaces enhanced prices on the app home screen every day, and the operator has built its reputation on that kind of value rather than headline market depth. The honest trade-off is that Betfred’s core prices are not always the sharpest on the market. Live streaming and watching in-app

Streaming is where Betfred’s racing focus pays off and where its football offering falls short. Racing — UK and Irish horse racing plus greyhounds — streams in the app, and there is coverage of selected other sports too, which is exactly what you want if racing is your main game. Watching requires a funded account or a qualifying bet, which is standard across the market.

The gap is football. Betfred does not stream UK football matches in the app, and for anyone whose main interest is watching the games they bet on, that is a real limitation next to rivals with broad in-app football streaming. It is the clearest reason a football-first bettor might look elsewhere, and it is reflected in the app’s live-and-in-play score.

For racing itself, the racecards are a strength: Racing Post data is built in, and “Next 5” style shortcuts get you to the upcoming races quickly, which suits the punter who is jumping between meetings across an afternoon.

Getting around the app

Day to day, the app is clean and quick, and that shows up in its usability score being the highest of the five criteria. The app is the better daily driver for most Betfred customers: biometric login and push alerts live there, and it opens faster than a browser. The mobile site is the sensible fallback if your device will not run the app, or while you sort out an install issue. Both read from the same account and balance, so you are not locked out of anything by switching between them.

Deposits and withdrawals

Betfred’s banking line-up changed significantly in 2026, and it is the thing existing customers most need to know. PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and paysafecard were all removed in January 2026.
