What makes a betting app worth downloading? I’d look at five things, and they’re the same five areas every app on this page is scored on.
Ease of use comes first. You want an app that opens quickly, keeps your selections on the bet slip while you build a bet and makes the next step obvious. Markets come next: plenty of them on the matches you bet on, and a bet builder that’s easy to use. In-play and live streaming matter if you bet while you watch, so look for in-play prices that keep up with the game, cash out you can use when you want it, and streams that play on mobile data.
Payments should be easy, with the deposit methods you already use and withdrawals that don’t keep you waiting. Finally, safer gambling tools should be easy to find: deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion in the app’s own settings.
App or mobile website? If you bet more than now and then, I’d use the app. Nine of our top ten let you log in with Face ID or a fingerprint (each review says which), so you’re not typing a password every time. The mobile site is still handy on a tablet or a borrowed phone.
A big welcome offer is nice, but I wouldn’t let it decide: you’ll use the app every week, and the offer only once.
