Betting markets and odds

Sportingbet is one of Entain’s smaller UK sportsbooks, running on the same platform family as bigger stablemates like Ladbrokes and Coral. The app covers more than 90 sports, from the Premier League and Champions League down to a long tail of international leagues, with in-play markets that update in real time and sport-specific odds boosts surfacing regularly. Enhanced accas add value on multi-selection bets, and an automatic Acca Boost tops up winning four-fold-or-bigger football accumulators with a free bet, scaling from a modest uplift on a four-fold up to a much larger boost on a sixteen-fold or more.

There is no betting exchange on Sportingbet — like most Entain brands, it is a fixed-odds book only — so exchange traders will need to look elsewhere. Coverage here is broad rather than deep: 90-plus sports is a genuinely wide net, but Sportingbet is not positioning itself as a specialist for any one sport the way some smaller rivals do.

Build a Bet+ and the bet slip

The bet slip handles the basics cleanly — tap a price, set a stake, and Sportingbet strings selections into doubles, trebles and full combinations automatically for accumulators. Build a Bet+ is the app’s same-game and multi-match builder, letting you combine several markets from one fixture, or across matches, into a single price, with its own tab on the match page.

Cash out is supported, including partial and automatic cash out, which suits anyone who likes to lock in profit or cut a loss mid-match. The one limitation worth flagging: cash out does not work on Build a Bet or Edit My Bet selections, so a combined price built through either tool cannot be cashed out early — a restriction some rival bet-builder tools do not share.

Live streaming and in-play

Live streaming covers football, tennis and a range of other sports, alongside the Live Football Animation tracker, which gives a visual read of a match’s key events for games that are not streamed. As with the rest of the market, streaming needs a funded account or a qualifying bet before it will play. In-play markets update with real-time price movements, and this is one of the stronger parts of the app relative to its size — live betting is joint-highest of the five criteria in our provisional scoring, alongside payments.

Getting around the app

Day to day, the app supports PIN and Touch ID (or fingerprint) login, so getting back into your account to check a price or your balance is quick. The layout follows a fairly standard pattern — a side menu for sports and markets, a central betting area, and the bet slip building as you tap through selections. Store ratings tell two different stories. On the App Store, Sportingbet rates a strong 4.7 from around 2,300 ratings. On Google Play it sits at 3.5 from a smaller sample of roughly 200 — noticeably more mixed, with recurring complaints about freezing or dropped bet-slip selections at busy times.

App or mobile site?

The app is the faster option for most Sportingbet customers — Touch ID login and push alerts on price boosts both live there, and it opens quicker than loading the site in a mobile browser. The mobile site remains a reasonable fallback if your device will not run the app, or while you are troubleshooting an install issue; both read from the same account and balance.

Deposits and withdrawals

Sportingbet supports a wide payment mix: Visa, Mastercard and Maestro debit cards, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard, and Trustly or instant bank transfer.
