Our score 8.8/10
888 Casino app download & review (October 2026)
For me the case for the 888 casino app is 888 itself. About 160 of its games are made by 888, and there's a Daily Jackpot that has to pay out by a set time each day. Blackjack players also get the Elite Lounge, a set of live tables 888 describes as exclusive. Both store listings put the whole library at more than 2,000 games.

How to download the 888 Casino app on Android and iPhone
Search for the right name, because 888 uses a different one on each store. On the App Store it's 888 Casino: Real Money Games, published by Virtual IP Assets Limited, and on Google Play it's 888 Casino : Slots & Games from 888 Holdings PLC (both are rated 18+, and the App Store version covers iPad as well as iPhone).
Download the 888 Casino app for Android
- Open Google Play: licensed UK casino apps are listed directly on the Play Store.
- Search for "888 Casino" and check the developer name matches the official operator.
- Tap "Install". The app is free.
- Open the app and log in, or register a new account. You must be 18 or over, and identity verification is required before you can play.
- Set your deposit limits in the app before you play a first game.
888 Casino app not showing on Google Play?
The Google Play listing needs Android 8.0 and up, so check your phone's version against that first. The same developer also publishes 888 Sport, 888 Poker Real Money Games and 777 Casino Slots & Roulette, and the casino app is the one called 888 Casino : Slots & Games.
Download the 888 Casino app for iPhone and iPad
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad (you need a UK Apple ID).
- Search for "888 Casino" and check the developer name matches the official operator before you install anything.

How it scores
For me the case for the 888 casino app is 888 itself. About 160 of its games are made by 888, and there's a Daily Jackpot that has to pay out by a set time each day. Blackjack players also get the Elite Lounge, a set of live tables 888 describes as exclusive. Both store listings put the whole library at more than 2,000 games. I think the money rules need a slower read than the lobby does. The welcome bonus (100% up to £100 on a first deposit of £10 or more) needs 10x wagering on slots within 90 days and can't pay out more than £100. It also only comes into play once your own deposit is used up.
We are still working through hands-on testing of every app we review. Until we have tested one, its score comes from published app data and our own research, and we update it as soon as the testing is done. How we review →

888 Casino welcome offer explained
100% Bonus up to £100 on Slots
Make a first deposit of £10 or more, then stake it on slots and claim the bonus through the pop-up, the email or My Account, both within 48 hours of the deposit. You get 100% of the deposit as bonus money, up to £100. It only comes into play once your cash balance is at zero. It has to be wagered 10 times on slots within 90 days, so a £100 bonus means £1,000 of bonus stakes. Ten times is the most a UK casino offer has been allowed to ask since 19 January 2026. The most you can win from it is £100. Withdrawing your deposit, or making any withdrawal request before the wagering is done, forfeits it. It's for new 888casino customers living in the UK with a GBP account, one per person, household, device, email address, payment account and mobile number, and taking it rules out 888's other new-customer offers.

Inside the 888 casino mobile app
I’d call it a slots app first, because just under 2,000 of its games are video slots. Around those, the store listings describe table games, video poker, Slingo, scratch cards and progressive jackpots, and 888 carries crash games and arcade games too.
The cashier does more than take deposits. 888’s help centre lists Deposit, Withdrawal, Verify ID, History and Set Limits in it, with a link out to the responsible gaming pages, so it’s also where documents go when 888 asks for them. And if you’ve read about 888’s VIP Club, the help centre says the programme isn’t open to UK players.
888’s own slots and the Daily Jackpot
888’s own studio accounts for about 160 games in its data for UK players. And 138 games carry an exclusive tag, most of them 888’s (Millionaire Genie, Irish Riches and A Nightmare on Elm Street among them). Thirty-four other makers supply the rest, led by Games Global, Playtech, Pragmatic Play and Evolution, and the store listings feature the likes of Big Bass Splash and Book of Dead Go Collect.
The Daily Jackpot is what I’d read up on before playing. The help centre describes a progressive jackpot shared across a group of games, with a payout time guaranteed each day and shown on a counter. It can only be won by a single spin, and never inside a game’s own bonus features. On size, 888 says: “The jackpot is not capped in any way.” The winner is picked at random rather than by a symbol combination, and after a win it resets within 15 seconds with a new guaranteed time for the following day.
Before a new game, I’d open its rules. 888’s user agreement says a game’s maximum win limit, where it has one, is in the rules under the (i) icon, and the help centre lists paytable and rules buttons in its video slots.
Live tables, game shows and the Elite Lounge
Three studios supply 888’s live casino for UK players: Evolution, Playtech and Pragmatic Play. Between them they cover live blackjack, roulette, baccarat and poker games such as Live Casino Hold’em. There are 45 game shows as well, most of them Evolution’s (Crazy Time and Monopoly Big Baller among them). The help centre says a live table’s rules sit behind an icon at the bottom right once you’re seated.
The Elite Lounge is the live room 888 calls exclusive. By 888’s description it has five Elite Blackjack tables and one Elite Roulette table, Opal, Pearl and Ruby among the names. 888 says it opens 12 hours a day, with what it calls Extra High Limits. You reach it through the Elite Lounge icon once you’ve logged in. For a blackjack player with a big bankroll, I’d look there before anywhere else in the lobby.
Getting money in and out of 888
888’s Bonus Policy has the rule I’d want every new player to know: “If you make a withdrawal request, you will forfeit all of your Restricted Funds.” Its offer terms define those as bonus money that hasn’t met its wagering, plus any winnings from it. So a withdrawal request, however small, wipes whatever promotion money you’re still working through, and withdrawing your deposit does the same under the welcome terms.
888’s UK withdrawal policy sends deposits from the last four months back to the method they came from first. Paysafecard can’t receive withdrawals at all, and once a UK withdrawal is requested it can’t be reversed (888 cites a Gambling Commission requirement). 888 emails you when a withdrawal has been processed, and several requests made inside the same 24 hours can arrive as one payment.
If your balance has dropped under the £10 withdrawal minimum and you want it all out, 888’s user agreement says it will still pay the full balance, though you may have to ask customer services. Before a withdrawal it can also ask for a copy of the card you paid with, front and back, with the middle eight digits and the security code covered.
The charge to watch is £3 a month on an account left unused for 13 months with money in it, which 888 only takes after emailing you and trying to send the balance back. Cards have to be personal ones in your name, and corporate cards have been refused since 8 July 2026.
888 casino login, sign-up and verification
888 won’t let you gamble until it has checked your name, address and date of birth. It can come back for documents later, too, when you deposit or withdraw, raise a limit, or log in from a country other than the one you registered in. One document can cover it, a driving licence or national ID card (front and back) showing your current address. A passport works too, but then 888 wants a bank or credit card statement, a utility or council tax bill or something similar from the last three months as well. Uploads go through Verify ID in the cashier, and 888 says it takes up to 72 hours to check them.
At higher levels of play 888 can ask where your money comes from (payslips, three months of bank statements and so on). If those don’t arrive by its deadline, it can suspend the account, withdrawals included. Your username is fixed once it’s set, so there’s no changing it later. And if you think someone else has got into your account or has your login details, 888’s user agreement says to contact customer services straight away.
Contacting 888 casino: live chat and customer service
888’s help centre doesn’t list a phone number, and it points you to live chat instead. Logged in, it’s the ? button at the top right and then Message Us. Logged out in the app, open the menu at the top left and go to Help Centre, and Message Us is at the bottom of that tab. 888 describes its customer service team as 24/7, although one of its own help pages says chat is only available “during operational hours”. I wouldn’t count on reaching a person in the middle of the night.
Complaints start in chat. For a formal one, 888 asks for your full name, date of birth, home address, registered email and mobile number, and says it acknowledges it within 24 hours. After that the Second Opinion team at secondopinion@888casino.com takes it on. If you’ve had no final answer after eight weeks, or don’t like the one you got, 888’s user agreement lets you take it to eCOGRA, which it calls a completely independent adjudication service.
Safer gambling tools and the William Hill link
What I like most here is that a self-exclusion doesn’t stop at 888’s own front door. Since 20 April 2023 a new UK self-exclusion at 888 extends to the accounts it finds you hold across what it calls its group brands (888poker, 888sport, 777.com, William Hill and Mr Green). A William Hill self-exclusion now reaches your 888 account as well. That’s how I’d want it to work when one person can hold all of those accounts. Deposit limits and Take a Break stay with the brand you set them on, though, and need setting at William Hill separately.
The day-to-day tools are in 888’s Control Center, the shield icon at the top right of its homepage. Since 22 September 2026 you can choose a net deposit limit (deposits minus withdrawals) or a gross one (deposits only), daily, weekly or monthly on calendar periods. Lowering one takes effect straight away. Raising it means a 24-hour cool-off and then a second confirmation.
There’s a time-spent reminder you can set to pop up every 30 minutes or so (per account, starting at your next login). Take a Break runs from 24 hours to six weeks. Self-exclusion starts at six months, and 888 says it can take up to 48 hours to apply. Once it’s on it can’t be lifted early, and when it ends you ask in chat to reopen the account, with a one-day cooling-off before you get back in. Closing an account for other reasons is Close my account in the Safe Cashier, or a request in chat.
The gap is push notifications, which 888 says it can’t block while you’re self-excluded or on a break: “The only way to prevent receipt of such notifications is by changing the settings on the device itself.” For someone trying to stay away, that’s a real hole, and I’d rather 888 closed it than left it to the phone. Its policy also names blocking software such as Gamban and BetBlocker, points to GamCare’s list of banks that will block gambling payments on a debit card, and lists treatment services including the National Gambling Treatment Service and Gambling Therapy.
GAMSTOP (gamstop.co.uk) lets you self-exclude from every online gambling company licensed in Great Britain, and 888’s policy signposts it. For free, confidential support go to BeGambleAware.org or call the National Gambling Helpline (GamCare) on 0808 8020 133, open 24 hours. You must be 18 or over to gamble. Please gamble responsibly.
Is 888 casino legit?
888 casino has held a Gambling Commission licence since 1 November 2014. The operator is 888 UK Limited, a company incorporated in Gibraltar, under account 39028, and the same account also holds bingo and betting licences. The register entry is linked below.
On fairness, 888’s fair play page says a random number generator decides every game outside the live studios and that independent auditors review each game’s payout percentage regularly. If a result ever looks wrong, Gaming History (under the user icon) lists your recent games, newest first, and 888 wants the username, date, time, game and round ID in chat to look into it. The fair play page adds that your log covers amounts staked and deposits and withdrawals as well as results, and customer support can supply it too.
Deposits are held on trust in a separate client account, which 888’s user agreement rates at the Commission’s “medium protection” level. The same clause says steps have been taken to protect the money, but there’s no absolute guarantee all of it would be repaid if the company became insolvent.
Which 888 app do you need?
This 888 casino review is about the casino and nothing more. For betting on sport you want 888sport, a separate app we review at /888/, and poker has an app of its own, reviewed at /888/poker-app/. 777 Casino, which you’ll see beside this app on the stores, is another of 888’s group brands with its own download. Our page at /888/company/ covers who owns 888 and the William Hill deal, and /casino-apps/ lines up the UK casino apps we’ve reviewed.
Is the 888 Casino app safe?
888 Casino is licensed by the Gambling Commission for customers in Great Britain. Each licence is below, with a link to check it on the public register.
888 Casino app not working? Common faults and fixes
A game freezes, spins forever or loses connection
Fix: If the reels or the wheel won't stop, the result didn't reach your phone: close the game, refresh the connection and log back in to see it. For a dropped connection, 888's first checks are whether other sites load, whether Airplane Mode is off and whether Wi-Fi or mobile data is on. Its disconnection policy lets the random number generator settle a slot that needs nothing more from you. A game waiting on your input stays open for up to 7 days on 888's own games and 30 on other providers', and a blackjack bet placed before you pressed Deal is returned. My History shows how it ended.
It says 888 isn't available where you are
Fix: Access depends on where you physically are when you log in. If you're in the UK and still see the message, switch off any VPN or location-masking tool, check location is on, swap between Wi-Fi and mobile data and restart the app. 888's location FAQ adds that withdrawals always go back to the payment method you deposited with.
Login fails, or the account says it's disabled
Fix: For wrong details, use Forgot Password on the login page and choose email or text for the reset link or PIN; after too many resets you'll wait 24 hours or need chat. If it says you're already logged in, an earlier session didn't close properly, and the help centre sends you to live chat. 888 gives three causes for Temporarily Disabled: a closure you asked for in the past, a hold while it waits for documents, or a self-exclusion that hasn't run out.
Your card deposit was declined
Fix: 888 lists the most common causes as a name that doesn't match the account, a card registered in another country, a deposit limit you've already hit, or a bank that blocks gambling payments. Its advice is to try another card.
Only part of your withdrawal arrived
Fix: If you've paid in with more than one method, 888 may split a withdrawal into separate payments back to each of them, as its withdrawal policy sets out. If the rest hasn't turned up within the stated timescales, ask in live chat.

Our 888 Casino verdict
I’d pick the 888 casino app if slots are what you play and you’d like 888’s own games in the mix, and blackjack players with a big bankroll have the Elite Lounge on top. I also rate its safer gambling set-up for the way a self-exclusion carries across the group. I’d look elsewhere if you pay by PayPal, which 888 no longer takes from UK customers, or if you want a phone number to ring. The 100% bonus up to £100 (first deposit £10 or more, 10x on slots within 90 days, £100 cap) is reasonable if you’d have played slots with that money anyway. Just don’t ask for a withdrawal before you’ve finished with it.

888 Casino app FAQ
Do I need an 888 casino promo code?
No code is named in the terms of 888's 100% bonus up to £100 (checked 29 September 2026). You stake a first deposit of £10 or more on slots and claim the bonus by pop-up, email or My Account, both within 48 hours of the deposit. The bonus then needs 10x wagering on slots within 90 days, and winnings from it are capped at £100.
Are 888 and William Hill the same company?
Same group. 888's help centre says that on 1 July 2022 "888 acquired William Hill International (later rebranding as evoke plc)." The apps and accounts stay separate, but a UK self-exclusion with either brand now covers the other. Our William Hill app review is at /william-hill/ and the ownership story is at /888/company/.
Does 888 casino have a phone number?
888's help centre doesn't list one. It points you to live chat, and the contact section above has the route in the app.
How long do 888 casino withdrawals take?
888's banking page says: "Withdrawal requests are processed in one business day from the date of request." After that it depends on the method, from the same day up to five working days by wire transfer, and each one is in the payments table above.
Can I use PayPal at 888 casino?
Not in the UK. 888's deposit guide says: "PayPal is now restricted for UK customers." Both store listings still name PayPal among the ways to pay, and the Google Play one mentions Neteller too, which 888 also lists as unavailable to UK customers.
Can I use the 888 casino app on an iPad or Android tablet?
Yes on iPad, which the App Store listing covers alongside iPhone (iOS 13.0 or later). On Android, the Google Play description says the app works on supported smartphones and tablets.
Does the 888 casino app work abroad?
Not with a UK account. 888's geolocation FAQ says "UK customers can log in and play while they're in the UK", so you'll have access again once you're home.
Is there an 888 casino APK?
You don't need one. 888 Casino : Slots & Games has been listed on Google Play since July 2017, and 888's own mobile page sends you to the app store to install it.
All 888 apps
888 runs more than one app. Here are the brand’s other apps we cover: casino, poker and more from the same operator and account.
