888 Poker Best for fast-fold SNAP poker

888 Poker app download & review (October 2026)

I think the 888 poker app earns its place on a phone because of its two quick formats. SNAP, the fast-fold one, is what I'd play most. BLAST is a three-handed jackpot game with its prize pool drawn before the first hand, and I like that 888 publishes the odds for every buy-in, rare big multipliers and all.

How to download the 888 Poker app on Android and iPhone

The 888 poker download for Android is 888 Poker Real Money Games on Google Play, published by 888 Holdings PLC. On iPhone, the App Store lists it as 888 Poker: Texas Holdem online from Cassava Enterprises (Gibraltar) Ltd, which the listing's small print calls a wholly owned 888 subsidiary. The iPhone version covers iPad too.

Download the 888 Poker app for Android

  1. Open Google Play: licensed UK poker apps are listed directly on the Play Store.
  2. Search for "888 Poker" and check the developer name matches the official operator.
  3. Tap "Install". The app is free.
  4. Open the app and log in, or register a new account. You must be 18 or over, and identity verification is required before you can play.
  5. Set your deposit limits in the app before you sit down at a first table.

888 Poker app not showing on Google Play?

To download the 888 poker app on Android, 888's help centre sends you to Google Play (search 888poker), and that's the route to use. If the 888 poker Android app won't install, look at the phone first, because the listing needs Android 9 or later.

Download the 888 Poker app for iPhone and iPad

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad (you need a UK Apple ID).
  2. Search for "888 Poker" and check the developer name matches the official operator before you install anything.
  3. Tap "Get" to download. The app is free.
  4. Open the app and log in, or register a new account. You must be 18 or over, and identity verification is required before you can play.
  5. Set your deposit limits in the app before you sit down at a first table.

How it scores

I think the 888 poker app earns its place on a phone because of its two quick formats. SNAP, the fast-fold one, is what I'd play most. BLAST is a three-handed jackpot game with its prize pool drawn before the first hand, and I like that 888 publishes the odds for every buy-in, rare big multipliers and all. The tables run in US dollars, which takes some getting used to.

App usability & design (25%) 7/10

It runs on iPhone, iPad and Android, and 888's house rules let you play several cash tables and tournaments side by side. What keeps it at 7 is what a UK player can't do from a phone: chat at the table or set up a private game.

Games & formats (20%) 7/10

Hold'em, Omaha Hi and Hi-Lo, knockouts and 888's two quick formats, with cash tables from 1c. I'd rate the range higher on its own, but the 6.25% rake at the smallest Hold'em stakes and BLAST's 10% fee at the smallest buy-ins pull it back.

Payments & account (20%) 7/10

Seven deposit methods, withdrawals from £5 and no deposit fee from 888. Buy-ins and prizes are in dollars, so a deposit in pounds may be converted, at a rate 888 shows before you confirm.

Tournaments & player traffic (20%) 7/10

Buy-ins from 1c, a daily progressive knockout, Mystery Bounty and satellites to live events give the schedule something at every level. Freerolls are for depositors only, which counts against it for a new player.

Customer service & safer gambling (15%) 6.5/10

Live chat, a separate email for collusion reports and no phone line in the help centre. Self-exclusion reaches 888's other brands, but a Take a Break covers 888poker alone, and 888 can't stop the app's push notifications during either.

We are still working through hands-on testing of every app we review. Until we have tested one, its score comes from published app data and our own research, and we update it as soon as the testing is done. How we review →

888 Poker welcome offer explained

GET50 Offer: £50 Bonus in tournament tickets

Deposit at least £10 in one go with promo code GET50 and 888 gives you 65 tournament tickets worth $1 each. You get 15 on the first day, then 10 a day for the next five, each batch credited within 72 hours. A ticket only gets you into a tournament with exactly a $1 buy-in, and 888 says a ticket doesn't necessarily fit every one of those. Each ticket has to be used within seven days of landing. There's no wagering, and the tickets aren't cash. It's for UK players making a first deposit who have never had an account with any 888 group site, and it can't be combined with another first-deposit offer. 888 calls it a £50 bonus; the tickets add up to $65.

What the 888 poker mobile app can and can’t do

I like how much of the poker room fits into the app: cash tables, tournaments and both of 888’s own formats. The house rules (which cover the whole site) allow up to six ring games at once and any number of tournaments. Where it falls short for a UK player is the social side. Table chat is switched off here, and 888’s help centre says it “is not available to the UK.” Play with Friends also only works one way on a phone. You can join a friend’s private table or tournament (User icon, Play with Friends, then Join a Game with the name and password they send you). But 888 says “Private Games & Tournaments cannot be created using mobile devices; you will only have the option to join pre-existing private events.”

There’s also a play-money mode next to real money for anyone who wants to learn the software first, though it still needs a registered account.

Fast-fold, jackpot games and the rake

On a small screen SNAP makes the most sense to me. You join a pool of players instead of taking one seat, and you’re reseated against new opponents every hand. 888 says that “within seconds” of a Snap Fold (which you can make before the action reaches you) you’re dealt a new hand at another table. The players you left don’t see that fold until it would have been your turn. At SNAP cash tables, 888’s Fold watch and play button keeps the old hand on screen in observer mode.

BLAST takes more explaining. It’s three players and a super-turbo structure. The prize pool is drawn when the game starts, anywhere from 2x to 10,000x the buy-in, and the multiplier also sets the starting stacks and blinds. 888 says most games are over within a few minutes. 888 publishes a probability table for each buy-in, and on every one 2x or 3x comes up between 90.4% and 93.1% of the time. On the standard tables 10,000x is a one-in-a-million draw (a $20 special edition goes to 100,000x, at one in ten million). The fee falls as the stakes rise, from 10% at 10¢ and 50¢ to 6.13% of a $100 buy-in (as of 29 September 2026). For me that makes BLAST a short three-handed game worth playing for its own sake, with the jackpot as a long shot.

888’s rake page says “888poker’s Real Money Tables will be Raked, in US Dollars”. As of late September 2026, No Limit Hold’em at $0.01/$0.02 is raked at 6.25% with a 50-cent cap, the highest rate on the schedule, and most other stakes pay 5%. No rake is taken on a hand that ends before the flop.

888 poker tournaments: where the schedule suits a phone

For a phone player I think the bottom end is where this room earns its keep. Tournament buy-ins start at 1c on 888’s tournament page, and sit & gos (anything from heads-up to 120 players) start as soon as their seats fill, so there’s no timetable to plan around. I’d start with The Rumble, 888’s daily progressive knockout. Further up there are guarantees up to $1,000,000, Mystery Bounty events where a single bounty can pay up to 10% of the prize pool, and satellites to live events.

Why the figures are in dollars

888poker prices its tables in US dollars (buy-ins, rake, tickets and prize pools), and a deposit may be converted on the way in, depending on the payment method and your account currency. When it is, 888 says it uses “the daily exchange rate used by our bank” and shows you the rate to confirm before you pay. Its user agreement adds that a margin may be charged on conversions, and that promotional amounts can be shown in one currency and paid in another. I’d check the rate on that confirmation screen before each deposit.

888 poker withdrawals start at £5, under 888poker’s own withdrawal policy. Everything else in the cashier follows the shared 888 rules (which methods pay out, checks before you cash out, no reversing a UK withdrawal), and our 888 casino app review at /888/casino-app/ covers them.

Tracking software and fair play at 888poker

888’s user agreement is specific about what you can run next to the tables. Tracking software that shows statistics for the table you’re at is allowed. Anything driven by AI is banned, and so are tools that help players collude, pick games by who’s playing, or share other players’ statistics against their will. Chip dumping, which 888 describes as players deliberately losing their funds to a designated recipient, is banned as well. 888 advises against accepting Money Transfers from players you don’t know. Account checks are 888’s standard ones, with your name, address and date of birth verified before you play.

Contacting 888 poker: live chat, email and complaints

Problems at a table have their own route. 888 asks you to report suspected collusion or chip dumping to pokeroperations@888brands.net, with the date, the usernames and the table or tournament ID, and it won’t share what its investigation finds. For anything else it’s live chat, from the ? button when you’re logged in or the app menu’s Help Centre, and the help centre gives no phone number. A formal complaint can go up to the Second Opinion team at secondopinion@888poker.com and, if that doesn’t settle it, to eCOGRA.

Limits, breaks and self-exclusion at 888poker

A Take a Break here pauses 888poker and nothing else, so your other 888 accounts stay open. Self-exclusion goes further: since 20 April 2023, a new UK self-exclusion here extends to other accounts 888 identifies as yours across its group brands, William Hill and Mr Green among them. Deposit limits (net or gross, by day, week or month), the time-spent reminder, Take a Break and self-exclusion are all set in 888’s Control Center, the shield at the top right of its homepage.

I don’t like that 888 can’t stop the app’s push notifications during a self-exclusion or a break. Its policy leaves that to your phone’s settings, so switch them off yourself at the same time.

GAMSTOP (gamstop.co.uk) is a free service that lets you self-exclude from all online gambling companies licensed in Great Britain, and 888poker’s policy signposts it. For free, confidential support go to BeGambleAware.org or call the National Gambling Helpline (GamCare) on 0808 8020 133, open 24 hours. You must be 18 or over to gamble. Please gamble responsibly.

Is 888 poker legit or rigged? What the licence and user agreement say

888poker holds its Gambling Commission licence through 888 UK Limited, account 39028, and the register entry is linked below. If you’re worried about rigging, I’d point to 888’s user agreement. It says: “All bets placed by you in relation to multi-player poker games are bets placed with other users and not bets placed with or against us.” 888’s cut comes from the rake and tournament fees, and your balance is held in a separate client account at the Gambling Commission’s “medium protection” level. If you reach the final table of certain tournaments, 888 may stream or record it, username and all.

888poker and the other 888 apps

Casino games and sports bets are open from the same 888poker account, and 888’s Android page says the casino side uses your poker balance. 888’s dedicated casino app has its own review at /888/casino-app/, and the 888sport app is reviewed at /888/. 888 bought William Hill International in July 2022, and the company behind all of these brands is covered at /888/company/. To compare 888poker with other UK poker apps, go to /poker-apps/.

888 Poker app not working? Common faults and fixes

It says your version of 888poker is no longer supported

Fix: 888's fix for that message (written for the PC client) is to remove the old version and install the current one. For the Android app, its help centre points you to Google Play.

Your 888 poker login isn't working

Fix: Use Forgot Password on the login page and enter your username, email or mobile number, and 888 sends a reset link or PIN by email or SMS. If the app says you're outside the UK, 888's advice is to turn off any VPN, allow location access and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.

You dropped out of a tournament

Fix: Log straight back in and 888 says you'll be returned to the tournament. If you aren't, find it under My Tournaments in the User icon menu.

Hands were cancelled after a server problem

Fix: If 888's poker server crashes, hands in progress are cancelled, and players disconnected mid-hand get their chips refunded to their poker bankroll.

You were folded before you'd decided

Fix: 888's house rules give you a time limit that varies by table, up to 30 seconds. The Time Bank adds 30 seconds on regular tables, gains a second for every five hands you play and tops out at 60. 888 says you can change how it works under Settings, in the Game Settings menu.

You can't get back into a cash table you just left

Fix: 888's house rules make you buy back in for at least the amount you left with. Come back with less and you're blocked from that table for a period the pop-up tells you.

Our 888 Poker verdict

For me 888poker is at its best as a quick-game app, with SNAP for fast-fold cash and BLAST from 10¢ a game. It’s a dollar room, so do your sums in dollars and check the rate 888 shows before each deposit. The welcome offer suits a different player, because the £50 bonus for a first deposit of £10 or more (code GET50) comes as 65 $1 tournament tickets over six days, each lasting seven days. They’re only worth having if you’ll play $1 tournaments that week. Anyone who wants to chat at the table or run a home game from their phone won’t get either here.

888 Poker app FAQ

Do I need an 888 poker promo code?

Yes, for the welcome offer. Enter GET50 with your opening deposit of £10 or more in one go, and 888 adds 65 $1 tournament tickets in daily batches across six days, each lasting seven days from when it lands. The tickets aren't cash and only fit $1 tournaments.

How do I find 888poker freerolls?

888 says there's no timetable: "Unfortunately, we do not have fixed schedules for our freerolls". It runs between one and eight a day on average. Sort the tournament lobby by buy-in and, in 888's words, "as Freerolls are free, they'll then be located at the top of the list". Its tournament page says they're open to depositors only.

Is there an 888poker app for PC or Mac?

Yes. Besides the phone apps there's a PC download, a Mac client and a no-download web version. BLAST runs in the PC download and the app, but not in the web version.

How long do the GET50 tournament tickets last?

888's poker bonus terms say each ticket "must be used within 7 days from the date it is granted", or sooner if the promotion ends. The tickets arrive over six days, so each day's batch has its own 7-day window.
