bet365 login: how to log in, and what to do if you can’t

To log in to bet365, select Log In at the top right of the website and enter your username or email address and your password. If bet365 won’t let you in, its help centre covers three causes: the details don’t match (the password is case sensitive), the account has locked after three wrong attempts, or you’re outside your country of residence. bet365’s recovery forms sort out forgotten details, and the sections below cover the rest. How to log in to bet365

The steps to sign in to bet365 are the same on the website and the mobile site:

1. Select Log In at the top right of the screen.
2. Enter your username or email address.
3. Enter your password.
4. Select Log In.

The mobile site adds a “Keep me Logged in” box under the password field, which keeps you logged in on that phone. Only tick it on a phone nobody else uses.

bet365’s terms set out how you get into its apps: your username or email address and password, a 4 digit passcode, and Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint log in.

Can’t log in to bet365?

If you see “Details not recognised”, check your username and password again. The password is case sensitive, so check Caps Lock, and remember your username could be your email address.

Be careful with repeated attempts: bet365 locks the account after three failed logins in a row. If the second try fails, stop guessing and use the bet365 password reset below. bet365 also suggests clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

Forgot your bet365 password?

To reset your bet365 password:

1. Select Log In.
2. Under “Forgot your Username or Password?”, select Password.
3. Enter your username (this could be your email address) and select Next.
4. Fill in the “Send me a reset code” form and choose SMS or email.
5. Select Get a reset code.
6. Enter the code and select Next, then create your new password.

Your new password must be 6 to 32 characters long, use letters, numbers and accepted symbols only, and have no spaces. It can’t contain your username, name, email address or year of birth.

If the form shows error LL01, bet365 can’t send you a reset code because it can’t verify your email address or mobile number. Only bet365 can fix that, through its Contact Us page.

Forgot your bet365 username?

1. Select Log In.
2. Under “Forgot your Username or Password?”, select Username.
3. Enter your date of birth and the email address registered to your account.
4. Choose email or SMS, then select Get Username.

The username recovery email can take up to 20 minutes, so check your junk or spam folder before you select Resend. If you no longer have the email address or phone number on your account, contact bet365 instead.

bet365 account locked?

Once an account is locked, getting back in goes through bet365. If you see error ACTSTA, bet365’s help centre says the account is locked and to contact it. Our guide to contacting bet365 covers live chat and the other routes.

Face ID, Touch ID and fingerprint login

If face or fingerprint login stops working, bet365 says clearing the app’s settings can remove stored images and preferences that may have become corrupted:

• iPhone: close the bet365 app, go to your phone’s Settings, find the bet365 Sports App and select the Clear Settings toggle.
• Android: close the app, go to Settings, find the bet365 Sports App, select Storage, then Clear Cache. If that doesn’t work, repeat the steps and select Clear Data.

If it still fails, delete the bet365 app and reinstall it.

Why has bet365 logged me out?

bet365 logs you out automatically after 3 hours of inactivity. Before it does, a pop-up lets you log out, stay logged in or change how long bet365 waits before logging you out.

You can set the logout time to 20 minutes, one hour, two hours, three hours, six hours or 12 hours:

1. Select the Account Menu at the top right of the screen.
2. Go to My Account.
3. Select Preferences.
4. Choose a time from the Maximum Inactivity Period drop-down.

The new setting applies automatically.

Logging in from abroad, and bet365 in English

If you try to log in from outside your country of residence, bet365 shows a pop-up. On a holiday or business trip, you can log back in once you’re home. If you’ve moved abroad for good, your account is closed either way: where bet365 isn’t available you can’t carry on, and where it is you open a new account in that country. Contact bet365 for help with either. bet365 is clear that it “does not support the use of VPN software”, and our list of where bet365 is legal shows the countries.

If bet365 opens in another language, scroll to the bottom of the sports site and choose from the Languages drop-down under Settings. You can also change it in Preferences in the Account Menu. bet365 says the languages on offer depend on where you’re accessing it from.

How to change your bet365 password

1. Select the Account Menu at the top right of the screen.
2. Go to My Account.
3. Choose Password.

bet365’s terms recommend changing your login details regularly, and straight away if you think someone else knows them. If you think someone could be getting in through Face ID, Touch ID, a passcode or “Keep me Logged in”, turn that feature off on your device and contact bet365.
