Sky Bet Request a Bet: how RequestABet and BuildABet work
Sky Bet’s RequestABets are on the match page. Open a football match, scroll down to the RequestABets section, and pick from bets Sky has already priced up, sorted into odds bands from “Up to 10/1” to “80/1 and above”. If the bet you want isn’t there, you can still ask for it: @RequestABet on X was answering requests in August 2026, though Sky only promises to do its best to price them. Sky’s help centre also points to @SkyBetHelp and its Customer Support team.
To put together your own bet from one match instead, use BuildABet. You can add up to 10 selections from the same football match, and Sky works out a price for the combination.
The rules here are from Sky Bet’s help centre, checked on 2 October 2026. What this page says about X comes from the @RequestABet account and its recent replies.
| RequestABet | BuildABet | |

How to request a bet on Sky Bet
- Open the match you want to bet on.
- Scroll down to the RequestABets section. Popular RequestABets have a separate section within the match.
- Switch between the odds bands, such as “Up to 10/1” or “80/1 and above”, to find a bet.
- Tap the odds to add it to your betslip, and check that the RequestABet icon appears next to your selection.
- Enter your stake and place your bet.
Sky says there are thousands of RequestABets to choose from, including some requested by partners such as Oddschecker and Sporting Life. There are also monthly Premier League RequestABets on player or team performance over a month.
Can you still request a bet on X (Twitter)?
Yes. The @RequestABet account’s bio says: “RequestABet is back! If you want to request a bet, @ us and we’ll do our best to price it up.” The account was replying to customers’ requests as recently as August 2026. Sky only promises to do its best, so a price isn’t guaranteed. The same bio asks you to use @Skybet and @SkyBetHelp for anything else.
How to contact Sky Bet for a price that isn’t listed
Sky’s help centre gives two routes. In its words: “If you can think of something that we haven’t listed on site, you can contact us on social media here – @SkyBetHelp”. You can also contact the Customer Support team from the Contact us link in the help article. Sky’s social team asks you to send a private message on X or Facebook and never to put your details in a public post.
Sky Bet BuildABet: how to build a bet
BuildABet is Sky Bet’s bet builder. It puts several selections from the same event into a single bet, like an accumulator from one match.
- Go to Football and open the fixture.
- Tap the BuildABet tab at the top of the page. It appears on eligible fixtures.
- Tap the price of each selection you want, and it’s added to your BuildABet betslip. You can also add eligible markets from anywhere on the event page. Not every market can go into a BuildABet, and the BuildABet tab shows which can.
- Enter your stake and place the bet.
Your placed BuildABets are in My Bets and your account history.
BuildABet limits
In Sky’s words, “There is a maximum of 10 selections for a BuildABet.” You can have more than one BuildABet on a betslip, as long as the total across the betslip is no more than 20 selections. You can also put a BuildABet on the same betslip as another bet, such as a single or a double, to make part of a larger bet.
Why a BuildABet won’t price
Usually it’s because two or more selections contradict each other. Sky’s example is Liverpool to win 2-0 with over 2.5 goals in the match.
Request a Bet and BuildABet rules
- Both settle as a standard multiple bet. Each leg follows the rules of its own market, so a player to be carded leg follows the player to be carded rules.
- Football bets are on 90 minutes unless stated otherwise. Extra time and penalties don’t count, except where the bet says “To Qualify”, “Lift The Trophy” or “Win The Tie”.
- If one selection is made void, the remaining selections keep running and are settled at their own odds. With four selections and one void, the bet settles on the other three.
- Some RequestABets are the exception. On ante post and cross-sport RequestABets, a void part voids the whole selection.
- The minimum stake is 5p.
What happens if a player doesn’t start?
Your bet still runs as normal, because the player may come on as a substitute. A selection is only made void if the player takes no part in the match. On a BuildABet, the other selections then keep running at their own odds. On a combination RequestABet, if one of the named players doesn’t take part, all bets are void.
Cash out on RequestABet and BuildABet
All BuildABets are eligible for cash out, under the standard cash out rules. RequestABets can be cashed out on eligible markets, which include RequestABet Specials Up to 10/1, Popular RequestABets and 1st Half RequestABet Specials. If part of a RequestABet can no longer win, for example a different player scored the first goal, the cash out value shows £0.00. RequestABet Insurance markets can’t be cashed out.
Free bets on BuildABet and RequestABet
Check which free bets you hold before you build. Sky says its most commonly awarded free bet at the start of the football season is for BuildABets only. When you place a BuildABet, only free bets that can be used on BuildABet markets appear. The welcome offer’s free bets, by contrast, can be used on any single or each way market, excluding virtuals. Under Sky’s free bet rules, the free bet stake isn’t returned with your winnings.
Sky Bet Request a Bet FAQ
Can you build a bet on horse racing at Sky Bet?
BuildABet is for selected football markets. For racing, Sky has horse racing RequestABets instead.
What is RequestABet Insurance?
If exactly one selection in your RequestABet Insurance bet loses, your stake is returned to your balance as cash. RequestABet Insurance Plus is a RequestABet of six selections: if five of the six win, it’s settled at the advertised insurance price.
What’s the most you can win on a RequestABet?
On football, the most you can win on specials, including affiliate RequestABets, is £50,000 in one calendar day’s betting, not counting your stake.
