Sky Bet new customer offer: the sign up offer and how to claim it

Sky Bet’s new customer offer is £30 in free bets, paid as three £10 tokens once your first bet is placed, win or lose. That first bet is what earns them, and 5p is enough if it’s a single or each-way at odds of 1/1 or bigger. Before it, join via Sky’s offer page and deposit £5 by debit card or Apple Pay. The tokens work on singles and each-way bets only (no accas, no virtuals), can’t be withdrawn as cash and expire 30 days after they land.

Before anything else I’d check two things, because either one can cost you the tokens: how you pay in, and whether you’ve ever had a Sky account of any kind. One account covers all five Sky sites (our Sky Bet app review explains how), so an old Sky Vegas login counts against you.

Sky Bet: “£30 in Free Bets when you place any bet”

New customers only. First single & E/W bet only. Odds of 1/1 or greater. 3 X £10 bet tokens. Free bet stakes not included in returns. Free bets exclude virtuals. Free bets are non withdrawable. Free bets expire after 30 days. Eligibility restrictions and further T&Cs apply.

Checked on Sky Bet’s own pages on 7 October 2026. Full terms: Sky Bet’s promotion page. 18+. Please gamble responsibly.

How to claim the Sky Bet sign up offer, step by step

To sign up to Sky Bet with the offer attached, start from Sky’s own promotion page, because clause 4 says you have to join through the promotion itself.

  1. Open the offer on promos.skybet.com and tap Get Bonus.
  2. Fill in your details, set a deposit limit if you want one, and add a payment method. Depositing is optional at this point, though Sky’s help asks for card details “for verification”.
  3. Verify your email address and mobile number with the six-digit codes Sky sends (you can’t deposit or bet until you have), then accept Sky’s terms.
  4. Deposit at least £5 by debit card or Apple Pay.
  5. Place your first bet: 5p or more on a single at 1/1 or bigger, and the tokens follow.

The 5p minimum stake and the 1/1 odds: what counts as your qualifying bet

Get the first bet wrong and there’s no second go. Clause 5 counts only your first Sky Bet bet, so if it’s an acca, or a single on a favourite shorter than 1/1, the offer is gone. The 5p also has to be one stake on one bet.

Sky’s market rules set a 5p minimum bet (rule 2.2). A winning 5p single at evens returns 10p, your 5p back plus 5p profit.

Each-way is the awkward one. The terms allow “a single or each way bet” at 1/1 or greater but don’t say how that applies to the place part, and Sky’s help says ticking Each Way doubles your stake. I’d make it a 5p single at 1/1 or bigger and leave each-way alone.

How to use your Sky Bet free bets

Log in and the Free Bets banner on the home page shows how many you have. Add your selection, tap the present icon next to it in the bet slip, pick a token (a cash stake can go on top) and tap Place Bet. Only free bets that fit the bet appear there, with the time each has left, and the My Rewards page lists every one, expired ones included.

A token’s stake isn’t paid back with your winnings. Back a 2/1 winner with one token and you get £20, the winnings only, where the same bet with your own money would also hand back your stake. Cash out stays switched off on a free bet until the cash-out value is higher than the token, for the same reason.

Sky doesn’t say whether a BuildABet counts as a single market, so check with Sky before you try one; our Sky Bet request a bet and BuildABet guide explains how those bets work.

Which deposit methods qualify?

Debit cards and Apple Pay, and nothing else.

Sky calls Pay by Bank “the most convenient & quickest method” of depositing and withdrawing, yet a Pay by Bank first deposit misses the offer, and so does Revolut Pay. Our Sky Bet review covers Sky’s other payment methods.

Who can’t claim the Sky Bet welcome offer

An account with any of the five Sky brands in the table, past or present, rules you out, casino and poker included. Our Sky Casino app review and Sky Poker app review cover those two.

If Super 6 is the only Sky game you’ve played, ask Sky’s live chat before you sign up. Sky’s help talks about “upgrading” a free-to-play account like Super 6 to a full one, but Super 6 isn’t on the terms’ list and nothing says which side of the line you fall.

  • Self-excluded customers, and anyone whose account is restricted while the offer runs, may not be eligible.
  • Sky’s general terms let it void bonuses, free bets and their winnings on a duplicate account.
  • Sky can withhold or cancel the offer for an account under its promotion abuse and risk policies. You’ll get an email, and Sky won’t review it on request.
  • Sky’s Safer Gambling promotion and bonus restriction stops customers showing “strong markers of harm” from taking part in new targeted bonuses, sometimes without notice. You can also ask Sky to apply it to your own account.

Is there a Sky Bet promo code?

Sky’s promotion page prints one, “Get Bonus with promotion code AB5G30”, and its Get Bonus button already carries the code through to registration, so there’s nothing to type.

Seen a Sky Bet new customer offer of £40 or £50 on another site? Sky’s help has the likely reason: “If you’ve just registered and received an amount that is different to what you were expecting, it’s probably because we’ve changed our Welcome Offer.” That usually happens after following a link from Google or an affiliate, Sky says. Clause 4 ties the tokens to the promotion you joined through, so the terms on that page are the ones you get.

Free bet not showing? What to check

Free bets don’t appear in your balance, so look at the Free Bets banner and My Rewards first. If they aren’t there, Sky’s help lists the likely reasons. The conditions weren’t met (a deposit by the wrong method, say, or a first bet under 1/1), the account is excluded from free bets, or they were already credited.

Asking won’t conjure them up: “At Sky Betting and Gaming, we don’t give out free bets on request”. If you met every condition and still have nothing, raise it on live chat; the Contact Us button at the bottom of Sky’s Free Bet Information article leads there.

Sky Bet promotions for existing customers

Sky Bet Club is the weekly one. Tap Join the Club, pick a reward, then bet £30 in cash stakes at 1/1 or bigger between 00:00 Monday and 23:59 Sunday. You redeem the reward the following Monday, and qualifying unlocks Club Exclusives such as price boosts and Best Odds Guaranteed. Free bets, bonus funds, cashed-out bets and tote pool bets don’t count towards it, so your sign up tokens won’t get you in.

Sky also runs Super Sub on selected football leagues and markets, and Extra Places on selected races. Others come only when Sky offers them: Money Back as a free bet on accas and BuildABets, Money Back As Cash tokens (opt-in), Boosters (by invitation), Ghost Leg and Sky Bet’s Super Sunday Boosts. Super 6 is a free game on Sky Sports’ own site: predict six scores for a jackpot.

On 7 October 2026 Sky’s promotions page listed 11 promotions, nine of them for football. Sky Bet’s promotions page has the current set.

Other Sky Bet questions

Is there a free Sky Bet no deposit offer?

Not the welcome offer: its tokens need a deposit first, and none of the promotion articles in Sky’s help centre showed a no-deposit sportsbook offer on 7 October 2026. Free games such as Super 6 and Super Swipes need no deposit.

Does Sky Bet have a refer a friend offer?

Not one Sky Bet publishes: Sky’s help centre had no refer-a-friend article on 7 October 2026.

Are there Sky Bet Cheltenham offers or Grand National offers?

Your welcome tokens can go on a horse race, win only or each-way (not virtuals, and Sky’s free bet rules also rule out Tote and US racing pool bets). Sky’s standing racing promotions are Extra Places on selected races and Best Odds Guaranteed through Sky Bet Club.
